TERMS OF SERVICE
Welcome to The Hidden Treehouse. Throughout these Terms and Conditions we will refer to ourselves as “The Hidden Treehouse”, ”we", “us" or “our”. By using this site you are agreeing to follow and abide by our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. We may revise the Terms & Conditions and listed Policies (shipping, returns, pricing etc) at any time without notice to you. By placing an order you are indicating your acceptance of these terms and conditions as stated on our website. That you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to make your purchase and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to these details as soon as possible.
Pricing
All prices are as stated on this website are in New Zealand dollars. The Hidden Treehouse reserves the right to revise the price of goods and are subject to change without notice.
Returns or exchanges
Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase date, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Shipping costs are non refundable if you receive a refund, the cost of the shipping will be deducted from your refund. If your exchanging an item due to change of mind, your replacement item will not be sent until we have received and checked your returns and a new shipping charge will apply to your replacement item. You will be responsible for paying the cost for returning your item(s). Your should consider using a trackable service as we don’t guarantee we receive your returned item. We only cover the extra shipping cost if your item was defective or damaged.
Due to the variable nature of our products listed in our preloved treasures category/tag, we cannot accept returns or exchanges or change of mind on these items, on the basis that these items are not in new or good condition and are sold as secondhand items.
Delivery
We will deliver the products set out in your order ("products") almost anywhere in New Zealand. We do not currently deliver outside New Zealand.
We endeavour to deliver all products within 3-7 working days of us confirming receipt of the order, although this timeframe is an estimate only. If we are not able to supply the products or there is likely to be a significant delay in making delivery (e.g. because the product is out of stock or the delivery is to a rural/remote location*), we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible after we become aware of this, in which case you may cancel the order (or any part of it) and you will receive a refund in respect of those products which will not be delivered (if any). We will not otherwise be liable to you for any damages, costs or expenses of any kind, suffered or incurred by you due to the order not being fulfilled or the products not being delivered within the anticipated delivery time.
Loss or Damage of Goods in Transit
All orders are sent tracked via Tracked NZ post. If an order is not received, a claim will be raised on your behalf and the freight company will contact you for verification. Claims can take up to 6-8 weeks to process.
All orders are packed with care and good quality packaging to avoid damage being caused in transit, however we cannot guarantee damage in transit will not occur. If your package arrives with evidence of damage externally and items within are also damaged, please forward a photo of packaging and items so a claim can be lodged on your behalf. This must be done with 24 hours of receipt.
Products and Services
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any colour will be accurate.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.
We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.
Accuracy of Billing and Account Information
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
Product Descriptions
All items are described as accurately as possible, however many items are handmade and therefore these items are NOT IDENTICAL to those pictured. Please check the measurements in the product descriptions, these should be accurate to within 1cm unless otherwise stated. Also due to computer configurations, colours shown on your monitor may be different from the actual colour of the items.
If you received any of our products (excluding preloved treasure items) that are faulty or not as described, you can return them in unused, original condition. See our refunds and returns policy.

Errors and inaccuracies
Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on the website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
The Hidden Treehouse Safety Disclaimer
As our resources vary greatly in their nature, properties and size, we encourage you to select products carefully. We cannot guarantee the longevity of these products over time as wear and tear may cause them to become unsafe. Products might break if bitten, thrown or pulled by a child.
Items have been checked for quality assurance, however please ensure all objects are checked prior to use and you continually monitor them for general wear and tear safety reasons.
All items sold on our website and utilised in play and discovery by children should be supervised by an adult at all times. Choking is a real hazard for all children when small items are being used at play. If you feel any items are currently not suitable for your child/ren, then please remove these and reintroduce at a time more appropriate to their age. Please note the items sold on this website are not suitable to children under 3 years of age.
